Overview

When a contract is deleted in Contract Eagle, it is soft-deleted, meaning it can still be restored by the Contract Eagle Support team if needed.

The Purge Contracts function allows System Administrators to permanently remove these previously deleted contracts. Once purged, a contract and all its related information (including documents) are permanently erased and cannot be restored.

To permanently delete contracts, go to the Settings > Purge Contracts screen. Here’s what you’ll see and how it works:

Filters and Search

You can narrow down which contracts to purge by applying filters:

  • Contract IDs – enter one or more contract IDs separated by commas.

  • Status Type – select status type to filter soft-deleted contracts.

  • Contract Type – filter by specific contract types.

  • Business Unit – filter by any Business Units. This will include a contract whether it is selected as the Primary, Additional, or View-only business unit.

Contract List

  • Contracts are displayed in a paged list, with up to 15 contracts per page (the maximum that can be purged in one operation).

  • Use the Select checkbox to choose which contracts to purge, or click Select All to select all listed contracts.

  • Click Clear Selection to deselect any selected contracts.

Permanently Delete Selected

  • Once the desired contracts are selected, click the Permanently Delete Selected button to purge them.

  • Warning: Purged contracts cannot be restored, and all related data, including documents, will be permanently deleted.
