V.12.01 Custom Fields for DocuSign

We’re excited to announce that you can now place custom fields directly into DocuSign envelopes when using Custom Forms in Contract Eagle!

This update gives you greater flexibility and automation when generating and signing documents - saving you time and streamlining your workflow.

Custom Forms are available to customers on a Contract Eagle Ultimate (or legacy plan “Enterprise”) subscription.

✅ New Features

  • The following types of DocuSign custom input fields can be auto-placed directly into a document created from a Contract Eagle Custom Form:

    • Radio Button (Ideal for Yes/No or Multi-choice questions)

    • Text

    • Date

    • Number

  • Seamless integration into your existing templates

⚙️ Field Validation Options

Each custom field placed in DocuSign can be configured with the following options:

  • Required – The signer must complete the field during signing

  • Locked – The field is pre-filled with a default value and cannot be changed by the signer

🔧 Default Value Options (for Text and Number Fields)

You can now define default values for custom fields in two ways:

  • A fixed value

  • A value pulled from another field in the Custom Form
