Audience: Forms Users

As an alternative to using the Contract Entry Wizard, customers on a Contract Eagle Ultimate (or legacy plan “Enterprise”) subscription have the option of presenting end-users a highly customized form to capture details of a new contract.

After submitting the form, the end-user may be permitted to view the contract, view the generated document, send it for signature, or they may simply see a message that their contract has been submitted for review.

This section covers the process from the perspective of an end-user filling in a custom form. For information on how to set them up, see the help article on Defining Custom Forms. That section also covers the user setup and permissions required for your end users to use custom forms.

Launch the Form

As a Forms User you may launch the relevant form from within Contract Eagle:

  • Contracts menu > Add > the list of custom forms will be displayed.

  • Or, as each form has a unique URL, you may follow that link if it has been published in another location (eg company intranet).

Fill in the details

Simply work through the form, filling in text fields, drop-downs and date/calendar fields. When you have completed a section, click Continue to move to the next.

Some fields will be mandatory, in which case you will not be able to Continue or Submit without completing the mandatory field(s).

After clicking Continue, your responses remain on-screen and, in many cases, may be edited by clicking the Change link at the bottom of each previous section.

Note however that some earlier selections may affect the fields displayed on the rest of the form. For example, if under contract type you select "Supply Agreement" and not "Lease", you would not see the field for (for example) "Details of tenancy" even if you go back and Change your selection under contract type.

Submit the Form

At the end of the form, click Submit. Depending on the form you may simply see a message that your contract has been submitted. Alternatively you may have options to:

  • View the contract

  • View the document generated

  • Send the document for signature
