Overview
The Contract ID Search feature allows you to quickly locate a specific contract using its unique Contract ID. This is ideal when you already know the contract ID and want direct access without browsing through broader search criteria.
Results will include the selected contract and, if enabled, any related master or child contracts. This streamlined search method is particularly useful for users who need immediate access to specific contract records.
How to use it
To use Contract ID Search, click the Contracts menu > Contract ID tab > enter a contract ID and click Search.
A contract ID entered into this field will restrict the results to that contract only. If the show related contracts box is checked, then any related master or child agreements will be listed as well.
The example below shows search results for a contract with ID 1053 and all its related contracts. The search resulted in two contracts being listed.
The Generation column in the search results shows that one of the contracts is “This Contract” and the other contract is the “Master” contract.
Actions menu
The Actions menu is represented by the three vertical dots shown to the left of every row in the search results. It provides the actions which can be taken for each contract. This menu is available only after a successful search has been performed.
View Summary displays a read-only summary of key contract information in a simplified format.
Search for Related Contracts performs a search for all contracts related to the indicated contract. This would include any master or child contracts.
Edit Contract opens the contract edit screen.
ViewContract opens the contract in view mode.
