Audience: System Administrators

If a user cannot complete a Contract Eagle Task, it can be reassigned by them or someone else in the team. Where a user has several Tasks, or will be away for an extended period of time, it is possible to do a bulk reassignment of their Contract Eagle Tasks and/or Contracts.

Note: this needs to be carried out by a System Administrator, as it is done through the Maintain Users menu option.

Bulk Reassign Tasks

  1. Go to the Admin menu and select Maintain Users

  2. Find the user who currently has the Tasks you wish to reassign and click the Reassign button next to their name.

  3. The screen will list all their contract roles, followed by their Tasks.

  4. Scroll down to the Task list and either:
    (a) click the radio buttons beside each to allocate to different users, or;
    (b) click Select All underneath one user's name to reassign all Tasks to them.

  5. Scroll down and click Save.

Reassign Contract Roles?

You may also wish to reassign some of a user's Contract roles:

  • Tasks represent tasks that have already been generated in the database;

  • Contract Role, it may be that during their absence further Tasks are generated as a result of these contracts reaching milestone dates. To stay ahead of this, you could also reassign that user's Contract Roles, if appropriate. For example, you may wish to reassign roles where they are Contract Owner, which is typically the first point of contact for a contract, but not where they are Manager. Or vice versa.

To reassign Contracts, use the steps above but instead of scrolling down to Tasks at step 4, review the list of contract roles and either reassign one by one, or use the Select All button.
