How you can see all your Tasks, and find out if a Task has been assigned to you

Audience: Standard Users

When you are assigned a Task, you should either claim it quickly so others know you're doing it, or you should reassign it to someone else. So, how can you see all your tasks? How do you know if something has been assigned to you? There are three main ways:

The notification email

If you are assigned a task by a milestone date or a team member, you will be notified by email. You will also be notified if someone else reassigns an existing task to you. Either way, the task will need to be claimed or reassigned.

The notification email contains a link directly to the task. Click the link and you will go straight into the Task in Contract Eagle, where you will see three Action Buttons:

  • for a standard task, there are action buttons to Claim, Reassign or Complete.

  • for a document task, the action buttons are Attach Document, Claim and Reassign.

Your Dashboard

The Dashboard is what you see when you first log into Contract Eagle. There are two tabs - My Dashboard and Team Dashboard. To look at your own tasks, select My Dashboard

On the left hand side, under My Alerts you can see your unclaimed Tasks and your overdue tasks. On the right under My Tasks you can see your list of Tasks, with columns for task name, status and due date.

Action Buttons

You'll want to get to a Task's Action Buttons to be able to claim, reassign or close it.

From the Dashboard, click a Task from the right-hand "My Tasks" list and it will take you straight into the Action Buttons.

If you click from the "My Alerts" section on the left-hand side, eg on "Unclaimed Tasks", you'll be taken to a list of those Tasks. Now click on any one of these Tasks to see the Action Buttons.

Daily Dashboard Email

The third way is the Daily Dashboard Email. If you have any outstanding Tasks, you'll receive the email each day. You can use the links in that email to click straight through to your Tasks.

See our article on how to customize the daily dashboard email, change how often you receive it and tailor its contents.
